The SOLPART partners met in Alicante on the 16th of May 2018 to deal with the WP7 activities: Plant integration, scaling up, economic and risk assessment of the solar process. The aim of the meeting was:

– Detailed presentation of a typical cement plant, components and flow sheet.
– Visit of the plant
– Discussion on the options for the integration of a solar calciner in an existing cement plant

The WP7 project results are as follow :

• Full process flow sheet
• Design studies
• Process sizing
• Business case (incl. CAPEX and OPEX costs)
• Evaluate the risks and measures to mitigate them
