The University of Manchester (UMAN) is one of the top UK universities, with over 11,000 staff and 55,000 student applications each year. The University boasts no fewer than 25 Nobel Prize winners amongst its current and former staff and students. The latest Nobel Prize has been awarded in 2010 in Physics to two Manchester Professors.
The School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science is rated among top three chemical engineering schools in the UK in the last evaluation of research (known as “REF”). Amongst the varied research carried out, the School houses the Sustainable Industrial Systems research group, led by Professor Adisa Azapagic.
